形態特徵
- Rhizome well developed; culms swollen at basal nodes, erect, 50-100 cm high.
- Blades 10-20 cm long, 40-90 mm wide, with distinctly yellow and white stripes; ligule 1-3 mm long.
- Panicle erect to inclined, 8-25 cm long, branches whorled. Spikelets 2-flowered, monomorphic, 8-10 mm long, light green, occasionally purplish, shining; lower glume 1/2 as long as spikelet, 1-nerved; upper glume as long as spikelet or slightly shorter, 3-nerved.
- Lower floret male; lemma 7-nerved, basal part sparingly long hairy, with a stout awn from very base, awn geniculate, twisted. Upper floret bisexual; lemma 7-nerved, basal part long hairy, awnless or with short straight awn.
